Rusatom – International Network and ABCI agreed to develop cooperation

Private institution “Rusatom International Network” (Private institution RAIN), a subsidiary of ROSATOM,  and A BROWN COMPANY, INC., Republic of the Philippines, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

Alexander Merten, President of Private institution RAIN and Roel Z. Castro, President of A BROWN COMPANY,INC. signed the document at the International Forum "ATOMEXPO 2017".

The parties plan to develop economic, scientific and technical cooperation in the field of peaceful use of atomic energy, as well as to jointly explore possible areas of application of radiation technologies in industry, medicine and agriculture. In addition, the partners intend to implement a series of activities for enhancing public awareness about nuclear technologies and their application in the Philippines.

"The Memorandum signed by our companies is one of the first steps in implementation of the agreements between our countries reached during the meeting between Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and Rodrigo Duterte, President of the Philippines, on May 25, 2017. The document opens up great prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the development of innovative technologies in the nuclear field," said Alexander Merten, President of Private institution RAIN.

The parties expressed their confidence that the strategic nature of cooperation creates possibilities for the implementation of joint projects in the peaceful use of atomic energy and for enhancing public awareness about nuclear technologies and their application both in the Philippines and in other ASEAN countries.
